I have been given a place in the London Marathon October 2022.
This is the challenge of a lifetime for me as I’ve not run much further than about 7k… Ever. I will be running (possibly crawling) in memory of my son Max who sadly passed away in August 2019 from a rare childhood cancer, a Malignant Rhabdoid Tumour. I am raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children’s Charity as this was our home while Max was poorly, he spent most of his life here and I have many fond memories with him in this hospital, despite what he was facing. This place is incredible for all the work they do, they gave us the chance to watch Max grow, they gave us our precious memories and allowed us to say our goodbyes peacefully in a hospice. They save so many children every single day.
I will take you all on my training journey so you can feel the pain with me,I am so grateful for the support in advance…. I’m simply just being a mother to my son in the only ways I now can. Remembering Max The Brave, my tiny hero. Suz. Xxx
