September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Approximately 1900 children are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year. This means 1 child in 500 will develop cancer by the age of 14. Over half of these children will not survive their treatment. Childhood cancer is the number one medical cause of death, in children, in the UK. Malignant tumours have the lowest survival rate (don’t we know it ).There are still only 4 drugs used to treat childhood cancer – the same 4 are used to treat adults. The chemotherapy medication has a side effect of death – research is desperately needed to change this. Clinical trials are often many Children’s only hope for survival – these are often done abroad. Help us make a difference, go gold for September. Spread the word, share our posts.

Help us keep our angels memories alive. Help us to fund research into kinder treatments.
