I never used to think twice about celebrating birthdays, I’ve never really been a fan of celebrating my own. BUT now I know how hard it is to make just one birthday after seeing Max pass away just two weeks before his first birthday.
Our mission is to give these children the life celebration they deserve be it in hospital or at home. It may be that they have been poorly for a long time or worse case it may be their last chance to celebrate all together as a family.
We are so grateful to have Bella Blue Events on board to help give these little warriors and their families special memories to treasure forever through the most difficult times.
We will provide a special set up of balloons and treats and take lots of photos for the families to keep.
A week before Max left for Heaven I accepted defeat that he wasn’t going to beat cancer. Up until that point I had believed that a miracle was going to happen. Max was so poorly I realised that he wouldn’t make his first birthday so I marched to Morrisons, picked up a lion birthday cake and invited the family round. This was so important for me to do, to celebrate Max while he was still with us.
