The Max The Brave Fund is part of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, GKCCT works to raise money to fund research for rare childhood cancers, produce educational materials to raise awareness to families before it’s too late and to help support suffering families where ever they require.
Childhood cancer is the main medical cause of death of children in the UK. The Max the Brave Fund is working hard to help GKCCT change this.
Because the children of today deserve a tomorrow.
Since starting up the fund in September we have raised over £13,000, if you would like to set up a fundraiser in Max’s name please get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org or visit Max’s campaign on the Virgin money giving site.
Max was diagnosed with a malignant cancer at just 5 months old, currently research is extremely underfunded meaning that the medications used to treat this horrible disease are toxic causing horrific side effects and leaving children with an uncertain future. Children are still developing so struggle to cope with these procedures. Warning signs and symptoms are often missed leaving the disease too hard or in some cases too late to treat.
1 in 500 children will develop cancer by the age of 14, childhood cancer is the number one disease cause of death of children in the UK.
